i live in new york and i thrash my bikes, so i didn't want to go too spendy. a couple of ebay purchases later, and I have a setup that i am totally happy with, and still ended up cheaper than like an off-the-shelf pista or something. not that there's anything wrong with that. and yes, i was totally inspired by the dqm x trackstar bmx builds, being a bmx rider myself

whaaaaat!

soooooo sick!

so do you make those stickers on vinyl or what.

tell us how you make the magic!

oh and can you barspin that mother or what?

haha thanks

no, can't barspin it, cranks and downtube hit. need a 650c front wheel to barspin on this setup, i think.

as for the stickers, i just bought them off ebay (because i was building an actual hutch)

name?

is the name of this bike Kelli (with a heart over the "i")?

Cool shit! I'm imagining

Cool shit!
I'm imagining what this would look like with a threaded headset, a white Hutch Hi Calibre stem and set of bmx cruiser bars with a middle tube welded on (ala Woody Itson style).

That would be sick, although that stem would likely double the cost of the bike. Maybe I'll do it someday.

cruiser bars

goood idea. hi-calibre stems are pretty cheap, it's the hutch pro stems that are spendy--one is on ebay right now for almost 3 bills.

Ahh. I confused the two.

Ahh. I confused the two. I'm more of a vintage Haro type of guy.
I don't know if you're familiar with BMXMUSEUM.COM, but the guys there are always selling vintage parts. Since they are dealing with an educated audience, you can usually snag a better deal on there than on E-bay.

haros

i just sold a complete survivor 88 haro master to chip at c4 labs...
