1970's Record road frame, Columbus tubing - Now with custom punk rock packing tape decals, all fear the Cuant Fista

Nitto Jaguar 110mm stem, Sakae Handlebars flipped & chopped into bullhorns, White Ambrosia bar tape (cheap)

Chrome Columbus fork, Modus cartridge bearing headset - They rang it up for less than it should be at the shop.. :)

velocity aero rim, 32h laced to Shimano RSX hub - Vittoria Rubino 23mm

velocity aero rim, 32h laced to Shimano RSX hub - Michelin Pro Race2 slick

Shimano Exage Biopace 42, bargain bin cartridge BB

scratched up 27mm seatpost, bargain bin seat. it says Pista on it.... :)

MKS Sylvain pedals, MKS toeclips, cheap nylon straps, Kmart BMX chain

16 tooth, Shimano freewheel

The challenge was to build a singlespeeder for as little as possible, around 0... I built one up around a Repco frame & fork, which was quite a nice early 90's frame. however it was about 5cm too tall for me. In the end I scored this beautiful (trust me) 70's columbus tubing road frame. the paint is in acceptable condition at the moment, but i plan on stripping it down, grinding off the extra braze-ons & give it a slick paint job.. But for now.. this is it
Knowing me, I'll probably end up spending more money replacing components that currently work fine on components that work no better but are shinier.
------ update ------
It's gone through some changes now, all old decals are gone - replaced with custom packing tape Cuant Fista decals. I also upgraded the stem to a Nitto Jaguar & bullhorned the bars, braking is handled by a cyclo lever on the flats of the bullhorns. I'm in love with this bike now. it cracks me up
