The KHS has risen from the ashes... literally. I had to take a torch to it to remove an old seatpost, prompting repainting- in proud Nevada state colors. While I was at it, I added a little brass here, a little there... It is the little details that really set this bike off. I think it looks a little too nice to leave chained up now... oops!
It's been thousands of miles and several sets of tires since I did these supermodel shots, and the paint now shows it's lived life as a daily driver. This bike rides like an absolute dream, I don't want to ride anything else... and I've got a pretty hot bike harem. A side note- I've broken two SRAM chains, one on my christini, and a PC-1 on my KHS. Now I use KMC chains, and will warn anyone I can that SRAM chains pull the outer links off the rivet heads. My geared bikes now all sport Dura-Ace links. Switching to the KMC really quieted and smoothed out my ride on the fixie. Oh, and the brake lasted about five minutes (rolls eyes).
