Doo-rag?

What's with the doo-rag on the top tube? I'm assuming the 650 front wheel means it's bar spinnable. So...the need to protect the top tube from the handlebars whacking it seems no longer necessary. What am I missing? Also, how do you ride with the saddle like that? I'm genuinely curious.

well the oury grips leave rubber residue on the toptube after barspining thats why the bandana is there till i get more spacers. as for the seat.. my foot is broken and this was a build just to kill time, so i didnt have a chance to ride it yet. hopefully by next week i'll be on it. thanks for the feedback
