Cyclops / Chris King

Mavic hub/DT spokes/FIR rim

This frame/fork was built in Toronto by Mike Mulholland who passed away around the beginning of 2006. Its hard to find info about Cyclops because they were a small family run frame builder. They were known locally for producing very fine track racing frames, as well as a decent amount of road and touring bikes. Vis Bicycle in Philadelphia on South and 9th st. was sponsored by Cyclops for racing at the trexlertown velodrome. My personal bike was built for a racer who took it to the nationals in 1986, then was raced in California by the origional owner for a long time, then sold to someone from Seattle who raced it for a few more years, and then was sold to me.

very nice. Custom sizing? Is it True Temper?

I assume the bike was custom

I assume the bike was custom sized for the original owner, and it happens to fit me pretty well since I ride a high seat tube but a short top tube. The tubing is True Temper, and butted on the main tubes.

same here, I ride 56X53!

Yeah, it kind of sucks being

Yeah, it kind of sucks being that way. I ride a 56x53.5 or 54. This ones a 56 seat tube with a 54 top tube. My Circle A has the same measurements, and I've never ridden any bikes that fit me as well as these ones do. The fact that most companies out there dont put big head tubes on their bikes bums me out because there are a lot of nice bikes I could be riding if they did put large enough head tubes on em.

freaak sizing..

I hear ya. Been braking my back on squared or 'standard' frames for far too long. I was lucky enough to find my Belgian track frame, which made me realize custom is the only way to go.
