60cm unknown year. Probably 88 or 89 based on the parts it came with

Nitto stem, GB Rando bars

Deore XT

Sansin/Ukia 36 spoke/Vittoria Rando Cross 32mm

Sansin/Ukia 40 spoke/Vittoria Rando Cross 32mm

Shimano 175 triple/NOS Suntour sealed

Brooks/Laprade

NOS Shimano M737

NOS Suntour friction bar ends/NOS Suntour Accushift XC

Dia compe cantilevers/Cane Creek

14-32 rear/24-36-46 front

Found this as a frame in the box, never assembled, along with a box of all NOS parts. Figured its a 1988 from some of the price tags on the parts. Went ahead and used most of them, as they were purchased along with the frame. Fits so perfectly its like it was made for me. Have only done some weekend trips on it, but its going to be the go to for the Mississippi River trail next fall.

Serial #?

If you can find it, I'm sure Davidson could date the frame for you, maybe even give you the name of the person it was built for.

Thanks, there is no serial

Thanks, there is no serial number that I could find at all, though there may be something on the box that it was shipped in(still have that).
Given all the receipts for the parts and the shipping dates on the box, its an 88, or close enough that that's what I will call it.

Tried contacting them when I got it, no response. All I am curious about is the frame material, what kind of tubing. Its so stiff, its like aluminum climbing the hills, but soaks up the road like good steel should. Bottom line, I'm just riding it, getting ready for a few weeks on the road this summer.

I love this

Beautiful bike. Looks like a dream to ride. Perfect balance of form and function. Post more pics if you can.

It just won't let me upload

It just won't let me upload anymore pics. Shame, cause I have several of it in touring mode with seat bag and front panniers, covered in mud and road filth from a day in the rain.

Make sure they are smaller

Make sure they are smaller than 2 MB, 1200x1024 or smaller, and have a unique file name with no spaces.

took a while

I don't take many pictures, but here it is in shake down tour #1.

Glad Davidson is still

Glad Davidson is still making frames even though he closed down his shop, very nice bike

Cool frame and build! The

Cool frame and build!

The cage placement on the downtube is interesting.

Yeah, its different. Its

Yeah, its different. Its almost the only thing I really don't like about it as I have long arms. When this frame was new there where not that many 24oz bottles. When you pull a full sized bottle out it hits the head tube. I'll get used to it.
