Paris Sport Pista/ 60cm / 1970

Paris Sport

Maillard laced to Sew Ups (original wheelset)

French Cottered Crankset

Brooks Professional

Bought this beauty in San Francisco...there are always great bikes in the city. It was all original but it was so grimy and dirty I couldn't really make out what it was. It cleaned up beautifully and after some research I found out it was an entry level track bike from approximately 1970. It was imported by Vic Fraysse for his store, Park Cycle and Sports, in Ridgefield Park, NJ. The paint looked spectacular in the sun as it has a bronzish/gold finish but the ride is not anywhere near what a high end track bike would ride like. It is sure pirty to look at though.

You are correct some models were manufactured in NJ, and some by prominent frame builders, and others were imported and labeled Paris Sport...their house brand.

Nice bike and coppertone color, eye grabber. I like blackwalls for your bike but it's cool as is, good luck.
