A bit of history:
Benotto branded custom geometry track frame, handbuilt by De Rosa, Made in Italy. Very VERY rare. This frame may have been owned by professional cyclist Francesco Moser himself!! It is at the very least the same track frameset that he rode. He rode a 56 - 57cm frame and is in many many photographs with this same model frame and is renown especially for breaking the record and achieving the velodrome WORLD Pursuit Champion status in 1976 (as well as in 1984) on this same frame! This same model frame was also used by professional cyclist Ole Ritter in his training and Win in 1968 setting the new Hour Record! (A record that stayed unbeaten until Eddy Merckx set a new record in 1972!!!) Own a piece of history!!

Finally, the Frame itself:
This is a beautifully crafted frame. Un-drilled front fork, and rear brake bridge (still a pure pista track machine). Columbus SL tubing fully chromed underneath paint. Short point lugs throughout frame. Chromed Brev Campagnolo front drop outs, and chromed Brev Campagnolo rear track ends. Period correct Columbus SL decal on seat tube (Columbus did not indicate SL on decals previous to 80's). Hand filed 'heart' cut-out bottom bracket shell port, "BENOTTO" Pantographed seatstay caps, Fork Crown inner lugs are cut out with "B", rear brake bridge is lugged with "B" cut out lugs!!, are among some of the absolutely striking yet subtle highlights. Very meticulous and gorgeous work.

Champagne metallic flake (sparkle) paint professionally chromed, repainted and completely refinished by the very well renown Joe Bell. Joe does absolutely top notch work, and a substantial amount of money was invested in the restoration of this frame to NOS condition. This frame has been one of the crown jewels of my collection and has been on display for years. It has never been ridden since it's restoration, only built for display. As such it has a few very minor and light nicks ( 'slight shop wear' ), very few light scratches to the paint etc - Typical of several decades old NOS condition. Some marks on dropouts from wheel installations and a bit of paint flaking at binder bolt. Though this frame is still in absolutely gorgeous 9.9 out of 10 NOS restored condition!!

it would be another story if it was built up. When I come across stock photos, especially ones with no comments, I sometimes delete. Its not so much that you are posting a frameset alone, but that you are posting it for sale and that was your only reason for posting.
