This is my bike for going fast. It's an ex-team bike. Maybe it's a faux pas to ride a team bike that you're not on, but I don't care, I got a good deal on it. I got the groupset from a fellow Velospace user, and it's been incredible. I pieced together the rest of the bike over time, and it's turned out great. I ride this bike to get stronger so I can ride this bike farther and faster. It's simple.

Hope you don't mind me

Hope you don't mind me riding this then!

What about the tires?

If this your bike for going fast, why heavy, high rolling resistance tires like the Gatorskins? If you would change the tires, you would be impressed by how faster you can go even when not moving the pedals in moderate descents just by installing low crr tires. Life is to short to ride bad tires. After all, it's all about the enjoyment of riding! Good rides for you!

This build was technically

This build was technically supposed to be a budget build, so I just threw on some tires I already had. I'm not crazy about them, but they haven't broken, so I haven't replaced them. What tires would you suggest?

Fast tires

I would recommend Specialized Turbo Pro, which I'm riding and enjoying, those tires are fast and supple. Other options might be Michelin Pro Race 4, Continental GP Triathlon.

good to see

that group hasn't fallen apart yet!

Many moons and many miles

Many moons and many miles have passed, and I haven't had any problems. Thanks again for the group!
