Just got this old Ugly brown Follis Mixte. Took my before pictures tonight and did my evaluation of it. I have to paint it, I can't stand the brown, but I hate to lose the decals just because I can't replace them. My local media blaster only charges me 20 dollars to blast a frame so I will start there. Then the hard part of what color to paint it. I may go with white and trim it with some color. This must have been the bottom line for Follis. The head badge is a decal and not a separate badge so it may be Late 70's or early 80's. It has grips labled "Lippicil" anyone ever heard of these before? Almost finished. Still need head badge and a pair of matching pedals. The only thing new besides finish is decals, cables, brake pads and grips. Oh yeah, lots of parts polishing! Everything had a coat of spray paint and over spray on it.

Almost finished my Follis Mixte today. I forgot I didn't have a pair of matching pedals for it. I have some old ones but the are in bad shape. Still looking for a Follis head badge or decal.

One heck of a straddle cable

Looks very clean! That's one heck of a straddle cable.

Part way home

New decals on and stem, shifters and crank polished and installed. Still need head tube badge and/or decal. Wheels need lots of cleaning and polishing yet.

Just added a new photo of my Follis. It has been media blasted sanded smooth with every nook and cranny cleaned out the powder coated a med. silver. I just added the decals I have so far tonight.

funky brown

white would great, just make sure you give the tops of the seat stays the same treatment they have now. it seems i just recently saw a set of follis decals on ebay, repros probably, that included the seat tube wrap. i actually have one of those head tube decals somewhere, let me know if you're interested. i don't think i'm going to use it any time soon, and it would look great on this bike.

Head tube decal

I am interested in your head tube decal if it is the Follis badge. Let me know if you still have it. Thanks Lots!

Decal

Cyclingforlife
Sure I'm interested in the decal you have. I tore the bike down today while we were getting 9 inches of snow. The frame seems to be in good condition inside all the tubes. Original parts I took off are in the parts cleaner for the night.

Decals

Cyclingforlife
Found the seat tube and down tube decals today and ordered them!

FYI, VeloCals now carries some 70s Follis decals

Actually stickers, like most of the repop operations. Including a headtube sticker:
