The frame set was picked up at a local collector / hoarder's house for a cool 60. I wanted a lugged, steel touring frame for a bit, but couldn't pass the Klein up. Its the most practical bike I have and rapidly becoming my favourite. Hopefully, VQS and I will do some touring in the summer. Pictures to come...

The front brake clearance did not allow the fender to fit. I took the easy way out and cut it. It still manages to keep me dry.

This is beautiful. I had the same problem with the front fender on my wifes buena vista mixte, even though the fork is meant for a lot of space. I may try cutting hers as well if it seems to work for you. Really awesome build

Thanks!! I'm a big fan of her mixte. It was used as a source of inspiration for my lady friends'! The fork wasn't the issue in my case, but rather the calliper. I had those fenders laying around and didn't really care for them. So, it was a pretty easy decision. If I liked the fenders, then I would have looked around for a calliper with the necessary clearances or bumped my tire size down to a 25c.
