My father's frame renovated by Argos Cycles, built into a modern, fun bike. During warmer months, it will become my commute bike. I believe the bike needs to be ridden and enjoyed - not just kept for weekends.

Interesting Mix

Intereting mix of old and new. Could take it to a whole other level by converting the drivetrain to a skip tooth with a block chain.

While I strongly agree with

While I strongly agree with your philosophy on how bikes should be ridden, certainly commuting on this is somewhat of an overkill, no? Why not train on it, or godforbid a velodrome? Will it be set-up differently for commuting? Either way, I personally love what you did here, and I'm happy your father's Holdsworth has found new life, regardless of what that life is!

You lucky phluck!!

You lucky phluck!!

Alloy, box-section rims for commuting, I imagine?

a track bike with

a track bike with eyelets.... !
cool setup tho not my style @ all.

You're right!

Checked with my dad - it's a path bike not a track bike. He bought it to train, commute and time trial on. The bike was expected to do everything - not just a single job - which is exactly what I intend to do. Thanks.
