Looks great after the update! Must be a blast to ride it

thanks :)

you feel more like flying than riding a bike :)

wheels weight ~1650g (without tubes and tires) which is quite nice if you consider that the rims make 1200g of that weight

Pro race frame and unusual

Pro race frame and unusual geometry - you should post specific measurements since the top tube looks quite long compared to the seat tube. Also, any idea who raced that thing?

geometry

geometry looks custom
(aa-special was top of the line handbuilt frame and was also used by pro teams of the time so this might be a special order)
frame was built between 1984 and 1987 altho serial number is non-standard for gazelle and suggests it was custom built

top tube - 54cc
seat tube - 52cc / 54ct
bb height - 27,5 cm (pretty high for a road frame)
wheelbase - 98cm
st angle - 73,5'
ht angle - 74'

I believe, that somehow long top tube was used to avoid overlap and improve handling (steep ht angle and small fork rake)

the geometry makes that bike fast and extremely responsive.
it's perfect for sprint but climbing is rather uncomfortable because of high position of bb.

Great bike! Added to the
