Now a nice commuter ride, no problem locking this up on the streets, except I should change the front wheel to be totally comfortable with that. Originally this bike was a sportive tourer, as ridden by the late Dutch singer Willy Alberti (photo4).
Fenders make me happy this time of year :)
Rih is a famous brand from Amsterdam, building beautiful frames, winning 63 worldtitles and whatnot. Somewhere in the sixties they joined the famous gents&ladies bike builder Fongers ("the Bugatti of bikes"). Few years later the three large bike-manufacturers Phoenix, Fongers, and Germaan joined hands and under license of Rih, they build this frame of mine. A frame which is almost fifty years old now and has been laying outside in the rain and nasty Dutch weather for probably some years. The fact that it's still a fully functional and nice ride, easy to build up and such and the paint is still kinda OK, shows that this is a quality bike and build to last. People that build it would probably lay screaming in their graves if they knew that today, bikes are made of plastic ;)
