This is my first and only road bike and was a budget build. Bought as a frame only from German guy who had it around 12 years. Frame is made from wicked triangle shaped tubing while original fork is steel. Originally it was equipped with full 2X8 DA groupset.

People who friended this bike Mancha150, knapprobert, veggie, Roni Solomon DDS, Giacomo 1, maanster, cannonhugodale, Splined, mapleleafs-13, campystamp, Boja, mille, BlueDevil, Tracker, beastonabike, ColumbusSLX, istvan, marco900, sryl, MagicPencil47, vqstaphbeard, phantom1313

That gold chain

That gold chain is really a good match, nice paintwork this frame has!

I like to think so too.

I like to think so too. Usually I prefer silver chain, but decided to make an exception this time. It’s a shame that chain has started to lose its brightness quite fast.

Oh my god! I've been looking

Oh my god! I've been looking for one of the original bikes that the for3 tubing was made for! Giovanni Pelizzoli made these frames which is why he has the rest of the for3 tubesets, the tubeset was made specifically for team coppi as far as I am concerned. If you EVER sell it please let me know! This is so beautiful!

fausto coppi

I Have one of these bikes a fausto coppi aluminium k3, with shimano 105 group set, Iam thinking of selling.
If you are interested let me know and I will try and sort some pictures out.

Tubing

Yes you are right about the tubing. I found online this email sent by Giovanni Pelizzoli concerning current Pelizzoli FOR 3 frames which use this same tubing: “The LEGGENDA FOR3, it has an old kind of tubes from COLUMBUS called FOR3 with triangle shaped used form the TEAM COPPI pro during the 90s, triangle tubes come out the Colubus - Professional - Giovanni collaboration, to find the most stiffness during the ride on aluminum frames.”

You can read rest of the email right here

I will keep that on my mind, but I think this one is a keeper.

I have seen online two similar to this for sale. One with DA and one with Super Record gruppo. But both had much more paint chips and other imperfections. Also a metallic blue frame with white letters was for sale some time ago. All these were in Europe.

I can see why you wouldn't want

I can see why you wouldn't want to let this one go, it is a beauty!

Hell of a bike !! how much

Hell of a bike !!

how much does she weigh??

Currently 9.4kg with pedals

Currently 9.4kg with pedals etc. Not very light, but light enough for me considering that not a single part was selected based on weight.

I Love This Bike!

Great looking bike, and pretty unique to! You don't see many of these around. If you have to have only one road bike, this is a great one to have. I really like the paint and the shaped aluminum tubes. Very cool. Look's like some really nice welding was done on this frame to.

Please post some more pics when she is complete!

New photos

Thanks! I believe this frame is TIG welded and after welding putty has been applied to mimic fillet brazed look.

Just added couple up to date photos. Unfortunately those photos are quite bad, thanks to cheap camera and poor lighting.
