In my mind, one of the sickest fixed gear/track bike/urban conquerors I've ever seen. It weighs exactly 17lbs as pictured, within a few grams of exactly 15lbs without the rack. I've thought of putting some Speedplay Zero Stainless pedals I have on it, but haven't yet as I like my 2-hole Nike ACG shoes for the ease of walking. I've thought of putting the brake on, but it looks so pristine and mean as it sits. I don't want to discolor the front rim brake track. I don't want to clutter up the bars with anything extraneous. Someday, when I find myself with an infrequent break from fatherly & working obligations, I will take it down to Hellyer in San Jose & justify keeping it in such a track oriented setup. I've had SuperSixes, CAAD9 road setups, DH bikes, over-mountain bikes, Cannondale CX, both SS & geared setups & other bikes. This bike is the one that I would never get rid of. Riding a bike like this has to be experienced to be understood. Fixed gear is the most pure, truest form of cycling. The synergy between rider, bike, & road cannot be replicated on any other form of bike with a freewheel, even single speed. At least, that's the way I feel about this bike, & that's the way I feel when I ride it.
