I bought this bicycle on ebay, and immediately liked the way it handled. It was in excellent shape. Nevertheless, I lubed all the bearings, added new brake cables, brake pads, chain and tires. I added water bottle cage, fenders, a vintage Jim Blackburn rack, and a brass bell. The SunTour Vx derailleurs are fantastic! Solid, beautifully shifting machinery. I haven't had to change anything about them. If I was touring cross-country I would seriously consider SunTour Vx, its not flashy, but very rugged and dependable ... proven technology. The bike has braze-ons for cables, a water bottle, and a chain hanger. In a nice serendipity, the bike was originally purchased here in Madison at the Downhill Ski Center. So, though that shop is long gone, the bike has come home.

Beautiful

ATB. A beautiful piece of cycling history.Your bike looks brand new.I would take a retro steel bike like this over anything new hands down. They look better and are just awesome.
