I owned one of these 30 years ago but it was pretty beat up and I sold it to a friend.Always hoped I'd find a pristene example and this one appeared on a Craigslist garage sale ad.The Son in Law of the original owner claimed it wasn't ridden since the early 80's.The original owner had the chainstays respaced for 6 speed and had the bar ends added. He rode it rarely after that and hung it up in his wood shop.It was ignored with years of sappy wood dust protecting the finish wonderfully.
The owner was happy to get rid of it and have it removed from his garage.Fantastic bike at a garage sale price.

Really like staring at this

Really like staring at this one. All goes together to make the quintessential bike.

Thanks Socal3Rensho

Gee,The previous post was puzzling.I wondered if the comfort and control I experienced on the Fuji's 4 hour maiden voyage was just a dream.I didn't know that I was doing it wrong all these decades.

Love the vintage cranks, Sugino = SunTour one and the same, have seen a few other components of the same era with the red blue accents. And nothing wrong with the barcons or the lever position.

Wonderful find! I love this thing

But you've gotta fix that bar and brake lever positioning as soon as you can.

This is wonderful to look

This is wonderful to look at! Probably rides really nice as well. I would park this in the middle of the livingroom on a rotating plateau. If my gf would let me.

You must be very proud of that.shes a true beauty.:)
