The previous owner of the frame had someone chrome and re-paint it, unfortunately who ever did it did a very bad job, hope to restore it again sometime soon.

Gee whiz

Those lugs are killer!

patina

after reading the comments i stared at it for a couple of hours and realized the rusted look is definatly growing on me... and i've got the unicinator on now and it looks much prettier, upload new pics soon.

If it was mine...

I would leave the frameset how it is. The patina makes it look great and shows the history and age of this frame. Almost a badge of honor for these old frames, standing the test of time.

has updated look that blends

has updated look that blends old and new, color and patina add the extra scar like tattoo for that street wise been around the block appearance. I like it.

saddle

i have a cinelli unicinator waiting to be put on, i just thought id try the slr out it was sitting around for a long time.

Off to a Great Start.

Cockpit looks correct and Unicanitor is definitely a good choice. The patina is actually pretty nice. A proper fork is going to be a challenge to find though.
