Oddball, late DL-1 with Rudge badging. Undoubtedly an export; features Curacao Trading Corp. badge on white tail. Purchased in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; likely originally made for the Central or South American market.

Nice Addition

to your already amazing collection of bikes.

Awesome.

What's the gadget on the seat tube?

A battery unit

It holds three D-batteries, which keep the headlight constant. Once you begin pedaling, it switches from the batteries to the 6-volt Dynohub system.
