By the way, how quickly does the anodization come off of the machined surface on the tb 14s? I am thinking of building up some road wheels with those rather than looking for old Mavic Open SUPs (I imagine both the brake track is better and the color stays longer?)

tb14s

The black wears about the same as ano'd deep-vs. The hard-ano'd ones wear much better. The tb14s will also wear more evenly than older rims and braking is improved.

Good to know the hard ano'd

Good to know the hard ano'd rims wear much better. I think the important thing is that the bracking track stays efficient...Braking on old mavic SUP cds is not really as nice as I had hoped. Thanks! Looks great by the way
