Got this frameset+crank+saddle/bar combo over ebay from an old man in Germany. As I understand it he used to be a coach at the velodrome. I'm 99% sure that the frame must be a H. Müller based on photos found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/6270266824/in/photostream/ . Very good craftsmanship overall. I almost completed the Gipiemme gruppo with a wheelset from a lady in Brooklyn, just missing a headset. This bike treats me very good and is truly a joy to ride.

(Tecno432's on last picture, the lowprofiles seem more proper for now)

People who friended this bike juicemankilla, knapprobert, the fumingator, CurlyWolf, achtundzwanzig, deiseldog706, trigzz, mr.2ter, mafffoster, flatblackcapo, mnfl, Insomnia, c3cio, per.k, moik, kubaskoczek, ravelax, Splined, vqstaphbeard, campystamp, dasspoon

Very nice bikes.

And several older one's. I'm 54 and I wonder how old you are. I lived in Bklyn for 23 years.

Thanks!

Thank you very much! I actually just passed 30, but I do have a soft spot for older bikes, the craftmanship and evolution of technology. I do hope I can put more effort into biking and less focus on gadgets in the future, though. :)

Real Nice.

Mercian, Harry Quinn?

Thanks! Could be possible,

Thanks! Could be possible, but my guess is that it's most likely german/dutch or even swiss. The closest I've gotten through research on the net is a dutch frame that looks exactly the same but a road version: http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/6270266824/in/photostream/

Or that it's a goldia: http://speedbicycles.ch/showBike.php?enr=330&PHPSESSID=dc7d99a2ab89862f22da656604a9d447

What's interesting is that Goldia was manufactured by Hans Müller in Switzerland, and that the dutch frame is branded "H. Müller". Both has Bocama Competition lugs. Coincidence?

Most Likely

the frame is a H. Muller. You're right, the lugs and the seatstay caps match. The Goldia has the serial number on the non-drive side, headbadge, and cutouts on the bb shell. Other than that the Goldia also looks like it's by the same builder. I also noticed the H. Muller is 531 and the Goldia is Vitus. You got a real beauty there.

Nice geo

Nice geo

Thanks, it's not super tight

Thanks, it's not super tight but then again i have a 21mm tubular in front. Toe overlap isn't too bad at all either. Aside from that, I don't know much about angles unfortunately. :)
