Found this in a farmers barn. Farmer said it was his father in law's. After a thorough clean it looked like a brand new showroommodel. Even the tubes are in reasonable condition! Sticker on toptube says 'Brands model'. Now I know that Brands was an East-Amsterdam bikeshopowner who imported frames from Italy and from Dutch builder Gazelle and painted the bikes with his name on it. But he just put a sticker on this one, which is fine by me cause I like this colour and decals.
Wish I had a better camera and skills for better pictures. Colour is 'champagne' which makes it a proper time machine. I'm already groing some sideburns to match ;)
Serial number indicates the frame was build late '78. The fork shows it is a '79 model so it's kinda inbetween years. Not that anyone cares...
I got some nos 600 levers with the nice fresh hoods but still have to mount them. When I do, I would have to change the bartape as well, but I just love the weared look of it now. It will take some time to get that same worn dark-brown colour again.
