Weinmann Levers, Schwinn calipers

I bought this bike at the Seattle bike swap for ten bucks. As you can see it had some built up oxidation on it, I've already scrubbed it off the headset, stem, and sprocket with a wire brush. After putting the tires on the wheels and tightening some loose bolts this bike runs, brakes and shifts, although it is rather sketchy. I haven't decided what I am going to do with this yet, maybe an internal hub and 700c wheels, maybe keep it close to the way it is, but I want to use it for a pub crawler/townie and I'm open to suggestions :)

Dat shifter

Wheels definitely, I think I'm in love with that stem shifter too much to make it a single speed, although I have seen some pretty good looking ones too, bah so many choices. I'm just stoked to have gotten this for such a steal c:

ATB I would leave it as is.It's reaally nice, and for pub crawlin an upright cockpit might be desireable. This bike would look super cool with some inverted Soma Sparrow bars and 700c rims, keeping the 5 speed drive train.I want to do this build with a 5 speed humpback model, but let one slip through my fingers last year.Kicked myself in the ass over that one, great price and nice shape. You've got a real nice bike there dude, ride the wheels off of it.

SS

Go for the bigger, lighter wheels. Also these bikes make great single speeds.
