I see I've friended this before, I just never commented.

This is beautiful. especially with that new ultegra and the S&S couplers. One day I will have an awesome tandem like this(And a family to ride it!)

ATB Dude that is the badassest tandem I've ever seen,and it has a super tough name as well.You are lucky to ride as a family,nothing greater than that.I'm still trying to get my wife into riding.

Family Fun

I love it when we get to take the beast out for a ride together. At times we've put the kids trailer on the back to turn it into a stretched "battleship". The kids love it!

Sheldon Brown's site sold my wife on the purchase; specifically the comments below.

  • A tandem allows two cyclists of differing strength and ability to ride together, pleasurably. The faster rider doesn't need to wait for the slower one; the slower rider doesn't need to struggle to try to keep up with the faster rider.
  • A tandem turns the basically solitary, individualistic activity of cycling into an mutual experience that may be shared by a couple.
