My first real track bike (I uploaded this after the Mikkelsen, but I've had it for a lot longer). It's an awesome bike to ride, very stiff for aluminum.

People who friended this bike campystamp, spader725, Tracker, scmalex, Mancha150, trigzz, kyle.k, bensonisajew, kwikemart, tsotis, cannonhugodale, mafffoster, headshangheavy, Chris V, Kevint143, dtmbikes, Paulo C., per.k, j Galland, vqstaphbeard, Stafree, FrankErik

I'm interested

in your feelings of stiffness. I have one too, and while I admit it is a nice stiff frame, comparing it to my Cannondale and Klein ROAD frames, it is similarly stiff, although obviously more than a lesser brands' product.

But isn't one of the features of Alu, besides being rust resistant and light; that it is supposed to be kinda snappy and have less flex than steel and ti?

Just nit picking and lookin for discussion, & your pictures put mine to shame...ride on!!

Don't get me wrong, I love

Don't get me wrong, I love the way the GT rides, it's just not great for all occasions. The harshness I mentioned comes from the steep angles, triple triangle, and the fact that it's aluminum. Aluminum in general does provide a stiffer ride than steel, but isn't nearly as good at dampening road vibrations. And I only really notice the difference when I switch between bikes.

Yeah agreed

Mine is currently on neighborhood duty, as much fun as it is, my road bikes are more comfortable by a long shot.

So

Thanks! Your GT is build incredibly well! It looks so nice in white!

Thanks! It's a big bike

Thanks! It's a big bike (66cm c-t-t), but the sloping top tube helps it look less gigantic and misproportioned.

Pictures not uploading

I accidentally uploaded it without a picture, then went back and tried to edit it to add a picture. It says it saves the changes but doesn't actually add the picture (it's less than 300mb and not above 1200x1000)

Try again. Uploading
