acquired this recently, plan to upgrade with xtr shifters, new forks, possibly xtr front and rear wheels..always wanted a lightning and now the dream is complete!

- update final pic is the upgraded bike with full xtr m952 groups rockshox sid forks and control tech seatpost/stem, have recently added cotroltech bar ends and am re anodizing the chainset arms

Not sure if I prefer this or the 1992 you've got, both nice. Either way you live in a great area to get some good use out of them along the coastal paths, sometimes really I wish I didn't live in London.

Maybe you've noticed the recent interest in retro MTBs, I guess all the dodgy old universals etc. have ended as scrap and just the quality is surviving now thanks to enthusiasts like yourself. Well done this man!
