This is my first real road bike, and holy shiiiit I love it. I thought about upgrading to carbon fork and seat post, but I kind of love it the way it is.

Great Machine

I have two Cannondales. One a Saeco machine and the other a Black Lightning. Love them both. I once toyed with upgrading my Black Lightning Forks from steel to Carbon and asked Sheldon Brown about this and his reply was why ruin a good concept with plastic(carbon). I quite agree with him(RIP).

Keep it original.
Lovely machine.

Kindest regards

I always enjoy nice vintage

I always enjoy nice vintage race bikes because of their lugs and thin tubing and details in their frames like pentographing and whatnot. But these cannondales have none of that but i always enjoyed them, i never thought i'd like thicker tubed bikes but they've always been attractive to me.

Yours looks like in really good condition, don't change the fork, keep it original. If you get an itch to mess with the bike then upgrade the groupset or something to dura ace 7400 or so

nice bike

Exactly what mine is. 1 1/4

Exactly what mine is. 1 1/4 headhube with full dura ace 7400. Take good care of that bike dude / miss

A shorter stem might make it

A shorter stem might make it fit better. With a slightly shorter stem you can move the seat to the proper position
