My old favorite. Used to switch between this and the track bike for my commute. Now it's on river rd duty. Best geo and fit of all!

This one's been with me a long time and gone through many different setups. Most recently had Ultegra 6600 STI's, for about a week, then brifters for two rides and they all worked well but decided I like the downtube shifters on this particular frame best. At least for now..

Got these Record shifters planning on putting them on my upcoming project bike but see I couldn't wait and, after some investigation, couldn't resist trying Shimergo for once. I have to say, it works surprisingly well! Already had 9s just add shifters, cables, hubub the rear mech and viola!

Tires look great against the

Tires look great against the Ti colored CXP30s. I've been wanting a set of ti colored CXP30s for a while. I missed an auction on ebay recently for a clincher set laced to DA 7400 hubs. They went for 80 dollars, blast!

Thanks! I think of them as gold colored; they match the yellow lug hearts and pantoes. The hubs are 24/28! The rims aren't terribly light but that's still a great deal. If only i could still find cxp12 rims for same.. The tires are kickass. I have a yellow set paired to black open pros/DA 7700 as well, which I will soon mount.

They look gold to me as well, they are listed as titanium as the color in the Mavic catalog. I love the old CXP series. I have a set of 28h CXP12s that I found NOS and laced to some Mavic track hubs. I also have a set CXP10s and just picked up a CXP14 laced to a rear 24h 105 hub for ten bucks.

SLX is great steel. Aelle is a Lower-end straight gauge tubing. However, you should understand one thing: tubing type does not account for everything. This is still my favorite road bike after many years and different bike materials.

according to something i read from some MIT researcher: aelle is stiffer due to thickness. i am definitely enjoying the aelle.
