Trspokes? Whaaat??

C'mon, what this bike needs is Superbe Pro hubs on Open CD rims! In the end, will even cost you less (and weight 1/2kg less each wheel!) than ugly tri-spokes.
Try to find a superbe Pro chainset too, and you'll be setup very well ;)
Last (but not leas): thumbs up for Control-Tech stem and the D.A. post (altough, with a Control Tech stem I would have gone for American Classic Ti, or Control tech silver post)

Superbe-Pro

Thank you for your very competent comment! Superbe-Pro Hubs are beautiful and reliable. Only disatvantage as far as i know is they don't fit with HG Cassetts. Performace between the Superbe-Pro stuff and the Shimano cassett is great. Superbe-Pro crank would be great as well, even as i have a Microlite Grease Guard BB in stock. Although your idea with an Cotrol Tech seatpost sounds well. I'll try to find this parts :-)

The idea about the Trispokes is as old as the bike. When i bought it in 1991, Spezialized came out with their DuPont Tripokes is exact same finish as the frame. They sold the mould later to HED and they made the HED D3 Trispokes till today. So Spezialized Tirspokes should be an contemporary upgrade.

unbelievable

ATB That is the nicest Specialized road bike I have ever seen.Is the lug treatment stock? And the color with the aluminum components is unparalleled.Dude I wouldn't change a thing on that bike, especially Trispokes. The retro appeal of this bike, especially the downtube shifters is just fantastic.I wish it was mine and I was tall enough to ride it.I think this is my favorite road bike on Velospace.

Lugs

Yes the lug treatment is stock like they are. You can find sometimes Allez Epic bikes on ebay and they are not very high priced. It's a underrated bike. So find one it's woth it!

Yeah, very much like

the early Look/TVT frames.
