OK, so I got this old girl from the city dump about three months ago. She was in non ori#ginal hammerite type blue finish, but I saw potential, the head badge was intact so I could see she was an Elswick. I estimate her to be mid 60s, but I could be wrong. I stripped her down meticulously, there wasn't a smidge of paint left. Then I resprayed her (with fairly respectable results) in Ford metallic silver green. I think it looks really period, and I like it. Then had a mate cut me some unigue graphics.
I call her the Bristol Flyer. Thats the name of a now demolished pub in my home city that I used to drink in when I was young!
She is a nice weight, and feels secure. Theres a single BMX style brake on the front wheel as I only ride bmx brakeless!! my first racing bike resto, done loads of bmxs over the years, but my poor old knees are done in...so I thought..get a bigger bike!! (that wasn't what the doctor suggested)
