Removed the horrific logos from the downtube and made my own. Every 2010 Cinelli has the nice 'cinelli' text logo on the downtube EXCEPT the Vigorelli. WHY?

This bike gets lighter all the time but I need carbon now.

Also, as some very good person posted below:

"[397.27] - 397 is the length of the Vigorelli velodrome, and 27 is the degree of the bank"

How?

But how did you remove the old logo?

------------------
Don't dream it. Be it.

it was an extremely long and

it was an extremely long and complicated process involving many complex steps...

STEP 1: Buy paint

STEP 2: Spray paint at fixiebike

So you sprayed the whole

So you sprayed the whole downtube or just over the logo? Did you have to do any prep to the paint, and how did you find a matching white?

Did you spray a clear coat over the graphics, or just leave as is?

Thx for info.

i half-arsedly rubbed down

i half-arsedly rubbed down the paint over the logo area and resprayed most of the downtube, trying to get a decent fade. this worked at the top near the headtube but not down to the bb, there is a definite line where i masked off the chainset. no clearcoat or anything, the whites dont match too well. it still looks decent unless you inspect it fully, but i just did it as a test really, to see if the new decals looked ok. like i say, i will probably get the whole thing done pro soon.

what did you make the decals

what did you make the decals from? very tempted!

got them custom cut from a

got them custom cut from a signmaker and the red bit is just a scrap of red vinyl i cut to go behind the 'C'

Pic 4

Pic 4 now thats just rubbing it in, but you should keep the vigorelli on the seat tube. With the sugino 75s this thing is gonna look great.

Stem +/-

What degree +/- rise is that stem?

pretty sure its 125° but

pretty sure its 125° but cant remember. it's not a road stem, just a cheap ish mtb one, but i wanted the bars lower and cant find anything else.

Do i hate you for it, or love you for it.

Best vigorelli ever, but this was an option for my other build until now i cant even look at a regular vigorelli with out going on about how ugly it is. That logo makes a hell of a difference, you should make all the logos on it black. It does looks nice with just that logo changed.

I love your custom decal

I love your custom decal

thanks, was thinking of

thanks, was thinking of getting the frame resprayed too. basically the same but with the blue bits turned black to match the text

that would be fresh to death

that would be fresh to death

[397,27]

I'm positive the 397 stands for the number of meters that consist of the Vigorelli Velodrome. I forgot what the 27 was.

looks like it is true

looks like it is true

In Wikipedia Italian

In Wikipedia Italian translation "397.27 m track cyclin"

if that's true then you

if that's true then you might just be 1 pound richer
