Thank you. Shoulder hurts

Thank you. Shoulder hurts and I am really disappointed about the destruction of the HED3. too much $$$$. Very impressed with how both held up despite being destroyed. Those parts can take large

forces.

Great job on the repair! I

Great job on the repair! I wish I could have done this for my broken HED3

It looks great, but I just

It looks great, but I just want it to perform the same. Epoxy resin is tough stuff, carbon fiber frozen in a matrix of it is even tougher. I took some sprints today and no problems. I sprinted up a curving hill and no problems. Just gonna keep pushing it till I don't feel nervous anymore. But I think it worked. I hope it worked. Fingers crossed

Yeah Mine has a crack near

Yeah Mine has a crack near the valve hole cutout and spreaded to the otherside of the wheel and I just said this wheel is done lol. Great job and I am sure if you know what you are doing the wheel will hold up just as good as new!

I really hope it does. Last

I really hope it does. Last thing I need is epic failure. But that can happen with carbon wheels no matter if its been compromised or not. At least thats what I hear from other carbon fiber buffs.

So the hed3 has a UD layer

So the hed3 has a UD layer of carbon over the rest?

UD? Underlay? I'm not sure

UD? Underlay? I'm not sure what your asking?

If the wheel has a

If the wheel has a unidirectional layer of carbon over the woven or 3k carbon?

If the wheel has a

If the wheel has a unidirectional layer of carbon over the woven or 3k carbon?

I just figured that out. No

I just figured that out. No unideirectional. HED 3 uses 3k. I used 1k. Finer mesh, less strands per filament but equally as strong but lighter.

Sweet dodici man.

Sweet dodici man.

Ouch glad to hear you are

Ouch glad to hear you are okay get that fork replaced and hope you feel better!

These Easton forks take beatings I ride mine hard and holds up great

Damn lets see some photos of the carnage.

Posting pics of fork. Deciding how to ask offender for cost of property damaged.

on seperate note. Easton forks are PRETTY GODDAM TOUGH. very impressed with how they stood up

Ouch! saw tho photo and

Ouch! saw tho photo and surprised it broke there not the fork blades.
As for offender if there was a Police report taken that will help you. Contact guy to cover any medical bills and damage to your bike

No police report taken. No

No police report taken. No police showed up. Contacted attorney immediately. Woman went away in ambulance. Her finger was bleeding a little and she might of had a concussion. I will call her soon to ask about how to proceed. Chain ring was toast too.

Frame looks to be fine.

How did the lady get a

How did the lady get a Concussiom if she never hit anything big enough to cuase one from the impact? (I know you said maybe) Also hope all goes well and how did the hed3 take it, did it bend or something?

She hit 200lb me! And I was

She hit 200lb me! And I was building to a full sprint out of saddle (just under 20mph) I almost dislocated my shoulder because her face went right into it. Then she hit the pavement. She was a mid 50 year old women blindly following a roadie for a pass. Roadie went back into his lane when he saw me coming. She went directly into me.

HED 3 has been repaired. There was a crack in the carbon fiber but it was still true.

O I see

I would have expected more damage from the HED 3 but that not to much, good to know you got it repaired. I kinda feel bad for the lady cuz she's old but then it was her fault.

I suppose my fork took most

I suppose my fork took most of the beating. I mean, it split up the center and Id think that section has the most material and rigidity? HED 3 is pretty tough though and people are way misinformed about carbon fiber.
I do feel bad for her but when you are blindly following a roadie all kit up attempting a pass, you better know what you are doing. There are other people to be aware of.

Beautiful

Sexy build my man. One question though, I'm set on getting one but I'm still tryna figure the size out. I'm 174 cm with a 79 cm/31.1 inches inseam. I guess the 53 fits me best but Dodici suggested the 51. Whats your size? Any advice?

My inseam is 32.5cm and I'm

My inseam is 32.5cm and I'm 5'11". Marra suggested a 51 at first, but competitive fit cyclist (online fit they use) calculated a 53. I would have gone for a 51 because I wanted a smaller frame that i could but aerobars on for distance, but the 53 is great. For your measurements Id say go with 51 for sure.

Thanks for the reply. I did

Thanks for the reply.

I did the CF fit too.

CF link 1 CF link 2

Based on the CF results, it looks like a 53 would do good. I don't wanna crouch too low and bust my perineum. I'm open, what do you think?

Edit, forgot link.

Here's the second link

CF link 2

I say go for 51cm. I would

I say go for 51cm. I would go for a smaller frame, but thats my love for time trial/pursuit sizing.

Wow they look so nice how's

Wow they look so nice how's the frame want to get one next possibly?

Stiff and light. Takes a

Stiff and light. Takes a long time to get and USD to Euro isn't so strong. Still dialing in.

Ok its one of the candidates

Ok its one of the candidates for my next frame and your place looks super nice hah!

I need to learn to read, it

I need to learn to read, it says it right there in the description. I didn't even bother cuz i figured it be dodici's fork
