A very tall bike. I'm 6'4" and it fits me very well, although will fit someone taller. I love this bike. I would like to see some pics of this same kind of bike if anyone has it.

Focus RT-550

Finally, another Focus owner! Even the current Focus manufacturer has no info about these bikes, they bought the name ages ago. Mine is the same color as yours, about the same size, too. I have it built up with a Shimano 600 8 speed STI groupset, Mavic stem and pursuit bars, FIR wheels on Shimano 600 hubs, Dura Ace cables, PD-A550 pedals w/Dura Ace cages, Christophe straps, Michelin Orium tires. All my research seems to point to an original Suntour Cyclone group (although I think GPX would look awesome with it's grey anodized finish...) I bought it from "Sultan of Schwag" on ebay a few years ago, and first built it up as a fixie, but soon decided that this frame deserved better than that sort of treatment, and began the rebuild. I kept the Specialized headset that came with it, all the other parts are new or NOS, probably got about seven hundred into it right now. I only have one question about yours right now: Doe sit have a Tange Prestige sticker on the fork? I think mine has the wrong stickers, or a replacement fork, or both. The frame has a Tange 2 sticker, but the ones on the fork are frame stickers, Tange issued Prestige forks that have different ones... any info helps on this lost marque.

Focus RT-550

I am happy to find out that someone else has this bike. I bought used at a bikeshop in 1983 in Denver, Colorado, USA in a very good shape. All parameters are the same, except for tubing - mine has Trimline 700x25c MII 100PSI. Built in Japan. So, I can date it back to 1980. But, the lightweight, look, and ride are great. Hope it helps.

I have this bike too. Thought I was the only one! I bought this bike in 1984 for triatholons and I still ride it as a trainer. Best bike I ever owned. Could be the tall frame fits so well. I haven't been able to find much info on this one either. I might still have the Focus catalog for the year. I remember seeing it somewhere up in the attic. I should try to find that. It might be the only information left on this model.

Crappy Picture

Sorry about the camera phone pic. Will upload some better ones soon. Still hoping someone can tell me the year of this bike.
