Love a classic bike. Very elegant and teh colours areindicative of its pedigree.

Kindest regards

What a great bike!

This looks amazing to ride. When the time comes, this is definitely my next frame. Are you doing 10 speed friction shifting?

yes, friction down tube

yes, friction down tube shifters:

i am using them with a 9 speed cassette.

cant believe I haven't

cant believe I haven't thought of that! Does it shift smoothly? Do I need the extra gears tho? I can probably live with my HG7, I just have an itch to experiment with downtubes on a modern drivetrain..

so smooth

yes, it shifts very smoothly. it took a bit to get the correct amount of "friction" to keep it from autoshifting. however, monkeying around with the wing nut did the trick and now everything is in working order.

I love the D-A downtube shifters...

I built up a modern drivetrain steel bike with DT shifters and love it.

This is a more beautiful example though!
