The Quantum Race model is the successor to the Quantum II. It has the same frame as the Quantums, while the Quantum Pro featured a couple proprietary features.

Replaced my Salsa post with a Thomson. The tilt had started to slip :/

Maybe eventually replace fork with a Dolan...Wish I could find a cheap ENVE(hah!)
Eventual goal is to get ZIPP service course short and shallow bar SOMA Hwy One, or something similar; anatomic bend sux.

Made all my desired upgrades, just need the right day to take some pics...

reminds me of one of my first road bikes, not a klein, cannondale, but exact same group and color. love the bike!!!! so nostalgic thanks for posting.

I'd almost say riding Cannondales led me to get this Klein!

Sounds like yours(Cdale) was pretty similar to the one Indians has

I have the same in the Silver Cloud color

An absolute drag racer!

A real treat

isn't it? All the stiffness of Cannondale but with a more pliant ride.

How did I manage to overlook

How did I manage to overlook this beauty? Great build. Would love another quantum.

Thanks Sloth

This thing is pretty dreamy...

The only thing I don't like is having to put it down!

Love a'good Klein. Black

Love a'good Klein. Black spacers would look nice.

Good call

may have to look into it ;)

Hey, did you ever end up

Hey, did you ever end up trying out a 3T Evol on any of your builds? I am thinking of picking one up for my GT Edge, and am trying to find out about their reputation as the "easy to use" threaded stem.

Closest I have is the 3T Model 2000 on my Olmo track bike. I think it's wonderful and looks beautiful to boot, though.

One of your threads made

One of your threads made reference to the 3T evol, but you never mentioned purchasing it (just trying to find the correct stem length). Anyway, thanks for your input. Will keep a close eye on all 3TTTs

reminds me

I want to get a slightly shorter thomson for this beast. I'll wait til it get's sunny though :)

Lets see some pictures of

Lets see some pictures of those drop outs.

I will try and get

some more soon, my friend has a decent camera if I can borrow it. I'll do drop outs, crankside in sun, maybe brakehoods which I love...

Nice frameset ... but why

Nice frameset ... but why Bill Walton? :-)

ha well

he's kinda a place holder until I can take more pictures. And he's both an ex-Blazer(my team) and a lifelong bike-nut, so he's cool with me!

I agree with Mancha, these are just sweet. Rarely are Kleins not stunning examples of 90s aluminum frame building / painting (maybe personally / culturally its cause Seinfeld had one in his apartment all those years...). Lets see some more pics! Thanks for sharing

I am a sucker for those

I am a sucker for those klein frames. so simple yet so elegant. amazing bike

Typical Klein Paint Job
