Damn I love that paint. And my favorite grouppo, and my favorite rims.. this bike is to lust for!

Gruppo and Groupset

Yeah, it's fun to see neon bikes every now and then with that ole Paramount looking the part nicely. It's hot as hell here and I'm cranky sitting inside for a bit. Which is why I can bug parkman14 about two things. It's GRUPPO, not grouppo, an English_Italian bastardization of that one. On the other hand, I dont see why it wouldn't be groupset in this case as it's neither an Italian bike nor an Italian gruppo. Yeah, pretty petty but it's goddamn 100F here and I'm getting older by the minute. On the extra positive, I have to agree with ole parkman14 on the wheels, too. These were some of the best all around clinchers made in my view, better and lighter than later Open Pros. Too bad the brake surface goes to shit with heavy use but they can be made into extremely efficient wheels that take abuse and can hold speed well with something like a Campag or DA hub. Getting harder and harder to find in good shape, unfortunately.

Very nice ride. Quick

Very nice ride. Quick question on the rollers- does that arm hold it in place while you roll or is it just for the pic? I have tacx rollers but dont think they haveany kind of mount for that.

Thanks. There's no arm on

Thanks. There's no arm on the rollers. I think those are just the table legs (?)

Yea that makes more sense

Awesome color

I think it's definitely a 1990 model as in 1989 Schwinn was still using the older style logo with the horizontal lines.

Sounds about right. Thanks

Sounds about right. Thanks for confirming.

Sell the 5...

Get 8-sp DA STI's with the return, then keep on the lookout for spare hoods. Then ride it like you stole it.
