Mudguards are Zéfal, Mudflap and grips are leather (home made).

Traditional Finnish splint basket on a VO Randonneur front rack.

Changes to come include adding front and rear lights, pedals are going to be double sided touring specific, maybe a chainguard, maybe a more vintage saddle if a suitable ladies specific one can be found.

Kaunis polkupyörällä!

Terve - love the look of this bike. My wife rode a Crescent citybike while we lived in Helsinki - it was perfect for the mostly flat riding there. Now that we're back in the US - the bike is a bit heavy for our hills here. A lightweight mixte frame like yours would be perfect. She has about 4 of the split wood baskets like yours also...

Kiitos!

Yeah, those citybikes tend to be really heavy. This one is sub 11 kg (24 lbs), fenders, basket and all. The mixte frames do give a slight weight penalty compared to diamond frames, but in this case it's not too much.

love it

deffinatly new saddle though.. perhaps this http://www.brooksengland.com/en/Shop_ProductPage.aspx?cat=saddles+-+city+%26+heavy+duty&prod=B18+Lady

That is nice

That is nice, but it goes a little over the budget for this build. The B68 S is a cheaper option from Brooks, but we'll see... Thanks for your comment!
