18-48T on a Campagnolo Pista 1/8th Chainring for brakeless street.

This frame was used in the 1975 UCI World Track Championships, presumably by the Raleigh Team. Built up around original specs by me. I prefer the Unicanitor over the Brooks. It now sports a period correct wheelset with tubular tires.
Currently it is my everyday machine.
As a note, it is not a SB serial.

Nice shot!

Nice new shot! Like the new setup, too. Those Giro, while not the most supple things, will wear quite well and along with the Vittoria Rally and uber deal Yellow Jersey "Servizio Corsa" (3 for an insane 50 ducats) offer the best value, if not the best ride/performance. I was shocked to find this beast on ebay, though. What are you getting in its place?

wow

thats what we call a bike art.......nice!!

drops

wow, those dropouts are amazing! :D

"we dont see things as they are, we see things as we are"

thats gorgeous!

thats gorgeous!

definitively classic

well done. tubies'll close the loop on the nastalgia! i've got a '78 55.5 tucked away that's a bit small for me, but rides like butter - I'd almost rather mount it on my living room wall then sell it, tho...

beautiful photos too, btw. cheers.

Wow, that's nice. Is it a SB

Wow, that's nice. Is it a SB serial?? Seems many of the tracks were Ws until the late '70s.

perfection

simply perfect. congrats!

Another absolutely stellar Pro Track addition!

Absolutely stellar Raleigh Professional Track with beautiful twin plate fork crown. Love the history, too. I have to agree with the preference for the Unicanitor over the Brooks; many that rode the early Raleigh Pro Tracks used the original plastic version of this saddle. Looks great on that beast! Love your winter shots, too. Well-done. Lastly, look forward to the photos with your Mavic tubulars. Even better if you could land a mix of Fiamme Red Label in rear and Yellow Label in front tubs. You could alternate between your two versions. You essentially have the Raleigh Pro Track spectrum covered.

Thank you!

Thank you!
I'll do a pic with the period appropriate wheelset soon. Fiammes would be very nice, I do look on Ebay from time to time for a set.
Take care,
A
