Richard Sachs Team Time Trial Bicycle/ 54cm/ 1980s?

Look adjustable stem

Shimano 105

Shimano index shifting

This is a Richard Sachs team time trial bicycle. I am told it is only one of 5 that were built in the 80s for a team time trial race. The front wheel is 24" and the rear is a 650c. The frame is a mix of aero tubing and standard road tubes. The bicycle is in the condition I bought it and I have only changed out the handlebars to make it more comfortable for me to ride. As far as I know the paint and decals are original

components obviously not

components obviously not original if it is indeed from the 80's.

Not original components

Sorry if I gave some confusion. The paint is original as far as I know. As for components, the rear wheel is new as I had a clincher built for it, the handlebars are new. Everything else is as how I received it from the previous owner. Just looked through my emails and Richard Sachs says he built it in the late 1980s.

I'm sure RS could give you the info you desire.Such a limited production of a unique design would be hard to forget.

Richard Sachs

Hi,

Yeah, I talked with him at the North American Handbuilt Bicycle show a few years back. It was really cool. He remembered building the bikes and everything.
