Fuji S12-S

My first road bike. Until then, I had only ridden a kids' Huffy mountain bike I got once for a birthday present. I rented this bike from the Aspen Music Festival in 2008 while I was a student there, playing violin. After about a week I traded it in for a newer Magna mountain bike because I didn't know any better.

It's not that great compared to most other road bike I've owned, but compared to what I'd seen before, it was incredibly light. It felt immeasurably faster than cheap mountain bikes. The simple shifters actually worked, unlike low-end indexed stuff. I liked the paint color, the simple crankset without the ugly chainguard, and plain but elegant look. It got me into bicycling.
