EDIT: Stolen at school Feb. 1, 2011. Filed a police report, checked pawn shop, asked people, put up a wanted ad on craigslist, but nothing happened.

Bought at a swap meet for $ 180. It had a cheap pair of junk pedals on it. Serial number is 833597. I've replaced the seatpost and saddle to save weight, and for more comfort. Did the full overhaul on it:

Repacked hubs, headset with new bearings and grease. Seal on headset is for watertightness, as I took out the original seal.
Replaced bottom bracket with a sealed Shimano UN26 cartridge BB
Replaced rear derailleur cable and housing
Tuned cables
Trued wheels
Adjusted brakes
Lubricated everything

It rides very comfortably and agilely with the bonded aluminum frame. I can't really tell any difference between this and a lot of vintage steel bikes I've ridden, except that it's lighter, stiffer, and has great components. It's the best bike I've ever owned and currently my main ride.

Weight is exactly 22 lb as pictured.

What are you riding now? I'm sorry you never got it back.

Schwinn Circuit

I bought my Schwinn Circuit back from a friend to whom I'd sold it. This was pretty soon after this one got stolen. It's up on my velospace too; check it out.
