Klein's Killer Paint Jobs

Yeah, I think the right mix of parts could make this seemingly simple paint job look great.
That handlebar is cool (if it fits you and all) but I've really been getting into Kleins lately (looking at the older catalogues, etc.) and there are a few awesome examples on VS ...but I'm still a C'dale kind-of-guy. Thanks for sharing

.

Oh wow the green fireballs look nice, please don't repaint this frame! Chuck some green anodized bits on there to match the paint scheme and you're done!

+ Green Chris King Grip-nut Headset!

+ Green Chris King hubs and maybe something white too..? This being my second comment in 1 minute, yeah, its exciting to look at all the potential (and $$$ to spend), even if only on a visual aesthetics level.

On a budget...

I love the idea of King parts, but the budget won't allow it! I was thinking about adding short black bar ends, maybe an Origin8 green seatpost (kinda cheap, but looks nice!), some green toe straps, green cable housing and maybe some green brake cable straddles. As for white, I was thinking white grips, but they always end up looking dirty. Check back in January to see what happens...

Well...

It's funny you mention green anodized parts; the rear XT derailleur already has green pulleys! I was thinking that some green ano parts and some green Oury's would make it really pop! I may just do that...

.

Do you have any idea what year your Pinnacle is? Judging by the "Pinnacle" font I'd say 1992, but I could be wrong.
Green ano bits would be cool but they'd have to be apple green, not the darker green you see a lot. I think some tanwall tires would do a good job of breaking up the black, they would look good with the green and they can be had cheap. Plus if the bike is from '92, tanwalls would be what it would originally have come with.
That's probably all this bike needs: green quick release levers (wheels and seatpost), tanwall tires, green grips. Ace!
For inspiration, have a look at www.oldklein.com, and take a look at my Klein on this site too ;) Make sure you keep us updated!

No idea what year...

I don't know what year it is, but the xt/dx parts all point to 1990 through 1992 (assuming the parts were original); I could run the serial number but I just have not done it yet. I saw your Klein Fervor on VS and read your updates. If I could find a set of off-white Panaracer Majic tires like yours, I would definately throw those on! I think they're out of production, though.
