My Bum

This Mini Velo Urban Terror started out as my commuter and slowly morphed into what you see here today. The bike was a real find as it given to me as payment for a freelance job I did. Just when i was looking for a commuter bike, it quickly became my bike of choice. Having ridden road racing bikes all of my life this small freak of nature is a blast to ride. The upgrades were not long in coming and the standard 42 front chainring was swapped for a 48, then a 52, then a 55, and finally the 62t gear. Gone went the risers for Selcof chopped straight bars. the Avid BB5 disk brakes were swapped for Italian Formula K24 Hydraulics, literally making the bike faster as the much better controlled stopping power gave me more confidence in traffic. She's a real screamer in the city and most pedestrians do not realize the speed of this thing. On busy intersections when i'm making the yellow, I swear you've never seen so much starbucks coffee in the air! And i'm not done upgrading!

Bike- 900$+ Upgrades 500$+ Micro Bell 10$, the look on Biking Triathletes when they see what just went by....Priceless!

I love when this bike pops

I love when this bike pops up...such a great fun looking ride.

awesome

this thing is so great

Jealous of the black Hooligan!

Hi, I own the white one, it's the only one available in France... Really a great bike. My i-Motion 3 makes noise on speed 2 & 3, what about yours ( I only own my bike since one week and I've only done 80 Km)?

asdf

i've always wondered how these smaller wheels take bumps/unavoidable potholes....

smaller wheels

so far so good, this past winter has been brutal on NYC streets but so far i haven't had any problems with pot holes. at 20" they still roll pretty well over most, it would take a crater of sorts to cause any real concern.

wow, I was totally

wow, I was totally unimpressed when I first looked at this, and now I think it's one of the coolest bikes I've ever seen. awesome, man!

thanks junky, she's pretty

thanks junky, she's pretty awesome i gotta say. because she defies definition your pretty much free to tweak her to your liking without anyone commenting, why the hell you did that for?!

A fucking MAzing. Cannondale

A fucking MAzing.

Cannondale made that little 20" frame? Or is it a 26" that you've put tiny wheels on? I notice you don't need rim brakes, so maybe?

this bike only comes in one

this bike only comes in one size with 20" rims. the stem is adjustable and the seatpost is the longest i know of 500mm+ to accomodate just about everyone.

twenty...

yeah, that's the stock wheel size (though it looks to have clearance for at least 24s... hmmm)

24's

yeah i believe you are right!

Great...

Great one! Totally unique and looks like a lot of fun.

Great

Thanks, yeah the most common question i get is "what is it?" i try to explain but the quickest answer is a BMX on crack! i've seen it in a couple of shops in NYC, but haven't bumped into another one on the road yet this year.

62t???!!! how are your knees

62t???!!! how are your knees holding up?

Knees

No problem at all so far. The 20" wheels make the difference and balance out the large chainring. I did the "Escape from New York" century on this rig and also rode it from Manhattan to my daughters school in New Haven Con, this past summer.

woah

that is the coolest little commuter i have ever seen
its still fairly ugly and goofy looking, but it seems fast and fun ;)

Ugly

LOL! Yes it's not for everyone but I haven't had this much fun on I bike since I was a kid!
