I got this bike, pre-converted to fixed gear, on eBay in April 2005. Since then I've added or upgraded most of the parts -- and I did another rather major upgrade since its first post here on Velospace. I've updated some of the photos to show the new wheels and other parts.
I built some new wheels with Phil hubs and Mavic rims to replace the previous Nashbar hub/Velocity rim wheels, which have been moved to my partner's fixie-in-progress. Then I got the Brooks saddle and the Honjo fenders, and after that I kind of got on a fashionista kick and replaced all the black parts with silver. The new photos still show the black Nashbar headset but it's been replaced with a Shimano 105.
This bike never did become my touring bike but it's seen a lot of miles regardless. I use it for getting around town as well as going on long-ish rides around the Portland area. The updated photos were taken in Seattle in September 2005 -- we took the Cascades train up from Portland with our bikes. A great way to go!
One of these days I'll post the rest of my bikes...
