For sure french, 22 mm fork tube instead of 22,2 of most other bikes, most probably a Peugeot from the middle to late 60ies. Saved this from the junkyard. The original french AVA-stem and the very high replacement handlebar were broken, the levers were replaced with Taiwan Stuff, all Decals were removed and replaced with golden lines, the derailers and the pedals were rubbish. The saddle was missing.

However, the frame was in good condition, as were the wheels, the headset, and other parts came back to life after a little bit of care and tenderness. Obviously, the bike was cared for a long time, maybe one owner who downgraded it from a sport bike to an old man's commuter. Most replacement parts were in my attic, and they look like someone renovated the bike in the late 70ies. The result is quite heavy, especially because of the superchromix rims, but it became exactly what I need for small tours to the market: A nice looking bike to fetch bread and cheese with.

And something that makes people smile. Important if you're riding in a lazy bavarian city without car traffic.

Rigida rims

How do you like your Rigida rims? I am thinking of ditching the steel rigidas on my "new" tandem in favour of something lighter and with a better stopping surface. My only hesitation is that I have heard some people love them.
Beautiful restoration, by the way.
Grüß Gott.

Lovely looking bike and the craftsmanship is superb. I would buy it should you sell.
