No longer in my possession - sold it off in September of 2011. My last Raleigh USA to date.

Freewheel is pre-index Suntour Winner; works ideal with the 6-speed Accushift system WHEN paired with the Shimano IG/HG chain.

Aero Headset

Who much difficulty have you had keeping that headset tight and properly adjusted? Take good care of it cuz the short stack severely limits change out options.Steer tube is cut very short.Very pretty especially in white.

Headset

No problems with the headset so far - the washer in the Aero set is unusually adept at keeping the raceway from spinning. I use a thin bar of steel to tighten the locknut - with the stem removed.

I've got a spare headset from an '84 Super Course; just in case.

Love the white and chrome accents, especially with the older brother Competition in the background. Is this the original parts setup?

Parts build

The original components were a Sugino/Suntour Cyclone (2nd-gen) mix. With exception to the brake levers, these parts came from a mid-'80s Schwinn.
