Didnt know much about this frame when i bought it other than i love the geometry and design of the older GTs. Local shop put me in the right direction by telling me that its a ZR1000. after searching a bit i found this:

Thinking that might be the actual frame that i now own, since i bought it off a guy in California. Info in that thread says the following:

"According to a friend who was at GT when they were in Santa Ana, the story behind this frame is that it was a limited edition model that was made for special GT dealers at the time... The paint fades from a very deep and dark purple in the front to black in the rear... this paint scheme wasn't shown in any literature (except what may have been released to the dealers)."

The paint is really nice. Sometimes it looks blue, sometimes purple or black. Not 100% sure how accurate that information is but i thought it was interesting enough to note. if anyone else has any other info feel free to let me know.
