My first legit road bike, very happy with it, rides better than I could have imagined.

Build weighs in at 18 pounds 15 ounces. This is a steel frame. Unreal.

Edit: frame is nickel plated under paint, the seat/chain stays are painted to show a little bit off. add a little framesaver and this thing is basically rust-proof!

SOLD! Off to a good home in CA!

Ritchey Fork

I have one just like this and also love it. Did yours come to you with the Ritchey fork or did you replace the Wolf fork?

got it with the frame

i bought it from a friend as a frame/fork, never saw or rode the wolf fork but i have ZERO complaints about the ritchey, its a great ride!

Beautiful!

How I'd love to find a SuperProdigy frameset. Magnificent!

I love it.

I love it.

Gimme!

Drool...must...have...one...now....

I also ride a ultrafoco

I also ride a ultrafoco Frame, really like it :-)

amazing

wow... my pista weighs that much... love it.

Love it!

Are the stays painted or chromed or what?

nickel plated

the whole frame is nickel plated under the paint, looks like silver paint on the stays but its just bare nickel plating, pretty nifty.

That's curious

Nickel is the middle stage in a better-quality chrome plating (first copper, then nickel, then chrome). I wonder if it was originally intended to be chromed, and the frame got pulled before the last plating? Do you know if there's copper under the nickel?

And on the nickel-is-good theme, what happens when nickel is directly exposed to the elements? You're in Boston, so there's got to be a lot of salt around; what happens to the chainstays during the winter?

Nickel doesn't polish up as shiny as chrome, but it does have a nice brushed look to it.

nickel

haven't noticed any sort of adverse effects of the nickel plating in the elements...i also havent ridden this bike very much in crappy weather/winter! it also occured to me the other day that it may have also been a weight savings measure, eliminating that last layer of chromium (weight) as this is a VERY lightweight frameset.

Classic steel Cervelo.

Classic steel Cervelo. Nice!
