10 speed 12/27 rear and 50/39/30 front

I guess this is a 1989 Super Sprint - label says Columbus SL Cromor. Cromor lettering is cut into the BB where the seat tube joins. Rear brake cable routing is internal.

Bought in 08 as 7 speed with Sante crank and downtube shifters, shimano bb.

Loved the original chrome and paint but wanted to use it for training over the winter.

Hilly round here, so the triple crank and new 105 kit. Comes in a shade under 10kg incl pedals and pump.

Clocked 1000 enjoyable miles over the winter.

Looks Sharp

This comes together very nicely for a '89. Looks great and I bet it rides nice.

I have a question: sitting ontop of my bike-bin is the new triple gossamer (w/black inner chainrings: 52, 39, 30) and its going on my tourer eventually, but how does it feel/shift? Did you change out the 52t for the 50t? (for mtn-touring I'll probably swap it to the FSA 48t and put a salsa 26t as the inner--with ultegra 6603 drivetrain) Just looking to get your opinion after 1000 miles on it before it goes on my c'dale..?

Thanks for sharing!

FSA triple

Set it up with a friend's help (right tools, torque wrench etc)

Really amazed that the front rings are just about perfect. No dinging on the extreme positions. 105 STIs and 105 front mech are good with a couple of trimming clicks.

(FSA-BB on my other bike just gave up after 3000+ miles - not so bad)

Bought it new as described (50.39.30, 170)

btw, I'm just under 5' 6", the frame is a 52 (seat tube, c-bb to c-tt)
